PingPongArena plans compared: Free, Club, Club Pro, and the single-event pass

5 min read

If you're deciding which PingPongArena plan fits your club, this guide lays out exactly what each plan includes, side by side, with no guessing. Every number below is pulled directly from what each plan currently offers.

The full comparison

Free costs €0 and covers up to 16 players per event, with core formats only — Simple, Groups, Ladder. It has no share, scorer, or viewer links, 1 AI coach insight per event, and 0 sponsor slots. It's limited to 1 active event at a time, but the core competition formats, live scoring, live standings on your own device (view mode), and the full tournament report are all included.

Club costs €19/month, or €190/year (two months free versus paying monthly), and covers up to 32 players per event. It adds everything in Free, plus Doubles, group-medal formats, and Giant Round Robin up to 16 players. Share links, scorer links, and viewer links are all included, along with 20 AI coach insights per event and 1 sponsor slot. Full player analytics is included, and a setup guide is provided for choosing your system.

Club Pro is not yet purchasable — the app shows it as "Coming soon," with no live price. Planned limits are unlimited players, all formats at any size (including the larger Giant Round Robin), unlimited AI coach insights, and 3 sponsor slots, plus share/scorer/viewer links. It's visible in the interface today, and its planned feature list includes divisions & highlights, multi-arena support, CSV export, a public club page with calendar, self-service player sign-up/check-in, results by email, and club branding.

The Event Pass is a €12 one-time purchase that raises a single Free event to Club-equivalent limits and formats for that event only, with 20 AI coach insights and Club-level sponsor slots scoped to that event. There's no subscription and no recurring charge.

A note on "Club Pro"

Club Pro is visible in the app's interface right now — you can see it listed with its planned feature set — but it is not yet something you can buy. The app currently shows it as "Coming soon," with no live price. Don't plan around purchasing Club Pro today; treat its feature list as a preview of what's planned, not a current option.

A note on "Founder"

You may occasionally see a "Founder" tier mentioned. This is a grandfathered, permanent Pro-level plan visible only to the app's founders — it is not something club organizers can purchase, and it is not one of the plans available to you. It's mentioned here only so you're not confused if you happen to see the name; it does not belong in your decision.

Which plan should you pick?

  • Running a single one-off event and don't want a subscription? The €12 Event Pass raises that one event to Club-equivalent limits and formats for the duration of that event, with no ongoing commitment.
  • Running club nights or tournaments regularly, with more than 16 players or needing Doubles / group-medal formats / sharable viewer and scorer links? Club at €19/month (or €190/year) covers this, with full player analytics and 20 AI coach insights per event.
  • Just want to try it out, or run small events under 16 players with the core formats (Simple, Groups, Ladder)? Free covers this with no cost, one active event at a time.
  • Want Club Pro's unlimited players, unlimited AI coach insights, or 3 sponsor slots? It isn't purchasable yet — there's nothing to sign up for today. Watch for it to move from "Coming soon" to available.

My recommendation

For most clubs running recurring events with more than 16 players, Club is the practical choice — it's the only plan you can actually buy today that removes the 16-player cap and unlocks Doubles, sharable links, and full analytics. For a single one-off tournament, the €12 Event Pass is cheaper and commitment-free. Don't wait on Club Pro for planning purposes — it has no purchase date yet.

Common questions

What's the cheapest way to run a single table tennis tournament?

The €12 Event Pass — a one-time purchase that raises one Free event to Club-equivalent limits and formats for its duration, with no subscription.

Is Club Pro available to buy?

Not yet. It's shown in the app as "Coming soon," with no live price and no purchase date — its feature list is a preview of what's planned, not a current option.

What does Club add over Free?

A player cap of 32 instead of 16, Doubles and group-medal formats, Giant Round Robin up to 16, share/scorer/viewer links, 20 AI coach insights per event instead of 1, 1 sponsor slot, and full player analytics.

What is the "Founder" plan?

A grandfathered, permanent Pro-level plan visible only to the app's founders. It is not purchasable by club organizers and isn't one of the plans available to you.

Which plan should a recurring club night pick?

Club, for most clubs running events with more than 16 players — it's the only currently purchasable plan that removes the 16-player cap and unlocks Doubles, sharable links, and full analytics.
