How it works
- Enter one player name per line — duplicate names get numbered automatically.
- Pick the number of groups (or let the tool auto-balance around 4 players per group) and how many tables you have.
- Hit “Generate groups & schedule”: groups are snake-seeded, then each group gets a full round-robin fixture list with round numbers and a table for every match.

How the schedule is built
Balanced groups with snake seeding
Dealing players into groups in strict rank order stacks the strongest players into one group and leaves another with none of them. Snake seeding fixes that: seed 1 goes to group A, seed 2 to B, and so on across the row — then the next row is assigned in reverse, back to front. The result is groups with a near-identical spread of strong, middle and weak players instead of one lopsided group.
No player sits idle twice in a row
Fixtures inside each group use the standard round-robin "circle method": one player stays fixed and the rest rotate one seat every round. That guarantees every player meets every groupmate exactly once, nobody is scheduled for two matches in the same round, and if a group has an odd number of players the bye rotates evenly — the same player never sits out two rounds back to back.

How does the group stage schedule maker balance the groups?
